We all want to tell good stories. We want to engage viewers and players alike and keep them hooked on what we’ve created. In doing so, we need to make each world and each story as believable as possible. That’s why good, customized and individually composed music is an essential part of a high-quality product.

As a composer, it is my job to evoke emotion wherever words are not enough and to create excitement wherever a look is not enough.

My name is Alexander Gruß, and I’m composing your next soundtrack. My range extends from minimalist and epic, to synthetic, classical, martial and romantic music.

/ About Alexander Gruß /

Alexander Gruß, born in 1989 in Bautzen, Saxony, is the composer and mastermind behind the project “Postcards of a Future You”. He has been writing songs since his youth and has developed an engaging sound over time. Alexander Gruß is a composer for film, television and video games.
He is the composer on among others, “enough.” (Award winner at the Cambio International Film Festival) by Kora Milter, “Currency Crimson” by Katharina Siemeling and Marei Annis, “OUST” directed by Tim Herbst and Heiko Wagner and the space strategy game “Astronomics Rise of a New Empire” by JayFiArts and “Fatal” by Felix Henke.

Prices are project-dependent, as they are created measured by the complexity of your product. Through an intensive consulting phase I adapt my offer to your needs. That’s why my work also fits into smaller budgets. The final price is calculated on the basis of the composed minutes, not the required hours. A quote can be made based on an estimate of the soundtrack length. The final price may vary if the actual length differs from the estimated value.
In addition to the composition, mixing and mastering are also included in your individual package upon request and for an additional charge.

/ Realization of the composition and production /

Most of the orchestral composition is done with the products of East West (Soundsonline),
the premium manufacturer for instrument libraries.
No real orchestral recording is provided.
Software synthesizers used: Aparillo, Zebra2, Synthmaster 2, HaLion Sonic SE.
Additional libraries are run through Kontakt Player (e.g. Ambition by Soundyeti).

Mixing and mastering is done with programs from various manufacturers. Among others Plugin Alliance and Waves.
